Kalen B. made the triple option pitch to Max S. for Liberty's only touchdown against a tough East McDowell team in an 8-6 win at home yesterday. Max S. then ran in the 2-point conversion behind some great blocking by Beckett N., Dalton L., and Noah M. to gain the lead. The Knights leaned on the running of Dawson L. and Peyton S. to eat the clock in the fourth quarter and escape with the win.
Defensively, the 8th graders took charge on their recognition day. Will B. disrupted the Trojan backfield and Kaleb S. made several key tackles in the second half. Noah M., Nelson, Peyton S. , Dawson L., Max S., and Kalen B. also had great defensive games again.
