Administration
Dear Liberty Family,
I am excited to begin another school year here at Liberty Middle School! I have lived and worked in Burke County most of my life and I am a BCPS graduate. During my time in BCPS, I had the privilege of teaching at East Burke High School and Burke Middle College as a 9-12 English and Social Studies teacher. For four years, I served as the Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Testing at Freedom High School and will now begin my third year as the principal of Liberty Middle School.
I currently hold a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Secondary English Education both from Gardner-Webb University. My path then led me to obtain licensure in 9-12 Social Studies and my National Board Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult Literature. I also hold professional licensure in School Administration from Appalachian State University and a state endorsement in Academically and Intellectually Gifted Education. My most recent educational journey led me to pursue and complete a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction from Gardner-Webb University. I most recently completed the Educational Policy Fellowship Program through the Institute for Educational Leadership and continue to partner with Gear-Up to provide career and college information and opportunities for our students.
My goal each and every day is to build relationships with students, parents, families, teachers and the community of Liberty. I strive daily to help students build their academic success and also work to find out and achieve their next steps. My passion always centers around helping students find what they want to do, give them the tools to do it, and help them achieve it!
I look forward to serving the students, teachers, parents and community of Liberty Middle School. Please feel free to always reach out at any time! My contact information is listed below.
Sincerely,
Anna Moose
